More than 13,000 students were invited to participate in the contest sponsored by the Southern California Railway Plaza Association, Amtrak® and Coast Rail Services. The project aims to make children in Fullerton aware of the hazards associated with moving trains and the potential for serious injury in being around rail crossings and train tracks.

The citywide winning posters and about 75 school-level winners from 15 Fullerton schools were on display through the month of May in the Fullerton Library’s Children’s Room.
