SCRPA is proud to announce the opening of the first train museum in Orange County.

The museum is open the first and third Saturdays of each month – admission is free.

Upcoming dates: Oct 1 and Oct 15, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, Dec. 3 and Dec. 17, 2016;

Jan. 7 and Jan. 21, continuing into 2017

      Hours: 9 a.m. to noon

      Admission: Free – donations accepted

Permanent exhibit

SCRPA’s railcar collection consists of three historically significant cabooses, representing the three railroads that served Orange County in its early days, and two 1940s Union Pacific lounge cars in period décor:

1. 1929 Santa Fe cupola-style waycar (caboose)

2. 1942 Union Pacific cupola style caboose

3. 1961 Southern Pacific bay window caboose

4. 1949 Union Pacific Lunch Counter-Diner-Lounge car

5. 1949 Union Pacific Dormitory-Lounge car
